How Prusland works III

23 Sep 2009 En: In English

We continue our series on How PRUSLAND Works. We have covered Advertisers and their available campaigns and the Producers who have uploaded videos and linked them to advertising campaigns. Now enters the third party, the Distributor.

    5 .- The distributor:

Your value as a distributor is the network traffic that you can help generate and the number of viewings you can promise for the video.

The distributor chooses a video or can also do so on the basis of the associated campaign itself depending on your goal as a distributor. Select the campaign or video by the same principles as does the Producer. Remember to choose your possibilities and remember at all times to respect your target audience and participate in a campaign that might interest them.

Post an offer to producers offering your network or traffic of your blog or site. The system will ask the number of viewings you can offer and the Advertiser Percent PPM you ask the producer to charge for those many number of viewings. Producers will contact you and negotiate with you in My PRUSLAND,the private area through the private trading system.

You can also be proactive and see the deals posted by Producers. You can contact any of them and accept their offer or counteroffer.

You have to reach an agreement with them and from then on, every video that is watched will be a gain for both parties.

    6 .- Type of Agreement

In making the offer as Producers or Distributors, you will have to sign agreements. Agreements can either be TON (All or Nothing) and PROP (proportional).

We will elucidate this in the next post.

Let us continue our series of posts explaining how PRUSLAND works and how you can benefit from it. In our first post, we have explained how PRUSLAND works for an advertiser. Now, its the turn of the Producer.

4.- The first step for the Producer is to upload the video to the PRUSLAND platform using the Video Upload Tool. Then the Producer can choose the campaign he wants to attach his video to at the PrusMarket (The PRUSLAND Market). Remember that only producers or distributors have the right to choosing advertising which is the major differentiator of PRUSLAND from other sites.

Now, be careful in choosing! Do not sign up for more PPM. Selections should be always be based on your confidence in the video and the advertising campaign that can really go along with it. Sometime, advertisers might pay less per PPM, but in the long run, you might profit as the campaign will run for a longer time and will get more views.

Most important of all, in choosing your campaign, respect your people and your audience. Choose a product campaign that will interest them and is related to your video. If your audience loses confidence in your videos, then they might not view it and you will not profit in the long run.

Once you have chosen the campaign, subscribe to it. You’ll be prompted to select the video from your list of videos that will be used for the campaign. You will also have to sign the Advertising Contract (we recommend you read it carefully) and then, you can embed the video on your blog or send it to your friends on other social networks.

If you want your video to virally disseminate faster, you can reach an agreement with a distributor. To do so, publish a PrusMarket Offer. The system will ask you to enter the number of viewings you are seeking from a Distributor and what percentage of the PPM you wish to give. Distributors can get in touch with you privately using PRUSLAND. You can also see deals posted by distributors on the number of viewings they can give and definite PPM percentages. You can contact them and accept their offer or counter offer them.

Reach an agreement and the Distributor will help take your video on his massive network. How that is done is explained in the next post, How PRUSLAND Works III.

We are getting more and more interest with the launch of PRUSLAND and people are excited to know how the market will work.Expectation is growing and we are going to explain in bits about how it is really going to work.

The following posts should clear some doubts. Remember that for the premiere launching, we will open the platform to selected producers and distributors, before the real campaigns open. This way you will be able to get familiar with tools and functionalities.

When we open the platform we will be here to help you up with the system and you will as well find tutorials and FAQs to guide you through the operation.
We have written to our friend Santi from Australia who had a lot of question about the platform. Here are some extracts from our e-mails to him that will start giving you clues on “How Prusland Works”

In this first post we discussed the Campaigns from advertisers

1 .- Advertisers on PRUSLAND publish their campaigns in the form of pre-rolls (later on we will have more formats). The pre rolls are simply displayed here.

2 .- Advertisers also give information about their campaigns to help producers and distributors choose if that is the best pre roll for their audience. As a part of this information, the video for the pre-roll, information about the product, tags, target audience and so on are added.

3 .- Advertisers mark the campaign PARAMETERS, which are:

        • PPM (pay per thousand viewings) offered by this advertisers campaign. This is real money they offer to producers and distributors.
        • Actual budget allocated among the advertiser for Producers and Distributors
        • Maximum number of producers that is supported by each campaign.
        • Maximum number of views for the pre roll that supports each campaign
        • Duration of the campaign.

Once published, these campaigns will be ready for Producers and Distributors to select, attach to their video and circulate among their audience.

In the next post we explain the process to be followed by producers and distributors to choose a campaign.
